*NEW* November 12, 2015 – Knitsgiving at MadTosh Crafts. Please join us for our Knitsgiving social from 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 12. This social does require an RSVP and it is a potluck. Each of our guests will receive a special gift from the staff at Madtosh Crafts.  If you plan to attend, please either call or stop by no later than Thursday November 5, 2015

November 13-15, 2015 – Kid ‘N Ewe and Lamas Too. The festival began in 1989 by a small group of Natural Colored Wool Grower Association members, who were handspinners and/or handweavers. Their goal was to promote natural Texas fiber by educating the public and marketing the products of the animals they raised. The Kendall County Fairgrounds in Boerne, Texas is once more host to the indoor/outdoor event for the whole family and is free to all. Visit the Kid ‘N Ewe website for more information.

Annual Holiday Hideaway at The Knitting Fairy. Hide from the Black Friday madness and come in for a quiet day at Knitting Fairy. No crazy sales, no crush of people at the door waiting to get in at 3am. Just the quiet, relaxing atmosphere you’ve come to expect at Knitting Fairy. Come sit and knit or crochet or whatever other project you need to work on and enjoy the conversation. There will, of course, be fresh cookies baking.

February 11-14, 2016 – Winter Fiber Fun Retreat. Co-sponsored by our friends at Fancy Fibers and The Knitting Fairy, the Eighth Annual Winter Fiber Fun Retreat will take place once again at the beautiful Tally Retreat Center at Camp Copass in Denton, Texas. This is a weekend of fun, learning, and relaxation where you can knit, spin, felt, crochet, visit, read, make new friends, see old friends, and just generally have a good time in the company of other women who are crazy about  fiber arts. February 25-28, 2016 – Hill Country Knitting in the Hills Retreat. This annual event is sponsored by Hill Country Weavers in Austin. The venue this year is the Resort at Horseshoe Bay in Horseshoe Bay, TX. Registration opens to the general public* on September 1st. Contact Hill Country Weavers for more information.

March 3-7, 2016 – Sea Purls. This fun cruise & knit event is sponsored annually by Yarn & Stitches and Knitting Fairy.

March 11-13, 2016 – Dallas Quilt Show. The Dallas Hand Knitters Guild will once again have a booth at the Quilter’s Guild of Dallas’s annual Quilt Show. Check the event’s website for updates and details.

April 1-3, 2016 – DFW Fiber Fest. Keep an eye on the event’s website for details! And be sure to buy a ticket for the “Full Weekend DFW Fiber Fest Experience”! Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.dfwfiberfest.org. The winner will be announced 2 days before class registration goes live.

April 15-16. 2016 – Fiber Producers Fiesta 2016. The Yellow Rose Fiber Producers in Sequin, TX are hosting their 6th Annual show. Bookmark their website and check back for more information on vendors and classes.

August 19-28, 2016 – DFW Yarn Crawl. This is the 5th year for this event, and if you haven’t “crawled” before you’re not going to want to miss this event! Check the website for more information.

September 16-17, 2016 – Fiber Daze in SW MO. Save the date for this event in SW Missouri sponsored by the Fiber Folk of SW MO guild. Check their website for details about speakers, vendors, and classes.

July 24-25, 2015 – Fiber Christmas. Lowder Colours Farm and Friends are sponsoring their 9th Annual Fiber Christmas in July. This event is held at the Creek County Fairgrounds between Sapulpa and Kellyville, OK on historic Route 66. Visit www.fiberchristmas.com for more information.

August 21-30, 2015 Fourth Annual DFW Yarn Crawl. This week-long event will take you all over the DFW Metroplex as you visit familiar yarn shots and discover new favorites! September 17-20, 2015 – STITCHES Texas. “America’s largest knitting and crochet expo” is coming to the Omni Mandalay Hotel & Irving Convention Center. October 9-18, 2015 – Hill Country Yarn Crawl. Travel in and around Austin while visiting some amazing yarn shops. October 17-18, 2015 – Blackland Prairie Artisan & Fiber Faire at the Texoma Expo & Livestock Show Grounds. The Blackland Artisan & Fibre Faire brings together artisans from all over the State of Texas and surrounding states to demonstrate their crafts and sell their beautiful creations.
